Most of us accumulate a huge amount of ‘things’ that don’t use daily or even weekly and are finding they are now cluttering up our homes.
XXX | If you are staying in your home, this might not matter so much, but it may mean you are living in a lot less space than you need. Is your spare room or garage full of ‘stuff’ so you and your kids can’t use it? If you got rid of everything you really don’t need or stored ‘stuff’ you don’t need now, then you may gain an extra play room, an office or somewhere where people can stay. |
If you are moving, then storage facilities can be an absolute saviour. If you are selling and need to ‘de-clutter’ you can do so quickly, easily and cost effectively by storing what you don’t need right now either via spare space friends and family may have or better still, in a separate, safe storage facility nearby.
For those who are buying, it might be you are in rented accommodation and need to buy things as you search for a home. It’s not wise to purchase major items such as sofas as you don’t know what will fit where, but other things such as such as appliances, chairs, beds etc. might be worth buying a bit at a time and you can store them until you have found somewhere to move into. This is especially the case if you can take advantage of major sales which typically happen around January and April time. |
