Mike Firth has bought a property from Persimmon which is not up to standard. Persimmon agree. The NHBC agree and a 3rd party independent survey from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors agree.
Persimmon have failed to do anything about it. The legal company is refusing to help with any breach of contract issues and although NHBC have helped to list all of the 90 problems that need fixing, they don't seem to get involved to ensure it's actually happening and any monitoring they are supposed to do of a case appears flawed.
His only recourse is to go to the Consumer Code, but this requires a lot of evidence of Persimmon's failings, he has to pay to complain and he is not allowed to ask for compensation for stress or lost holidays due to staying in for tradespeople.
19 months on, Mike is no better off than when he first started! Read his full story here.
